Objectives of the Cameroon Biodiversity Conservation and Management Programme

The Programme’s main goal is to:

Guarantee the continued existence of the ecological integrity of zones with a high degree of biodiversity of global interest.

This goal is translated into the following specific objectives:

Support Cameroon’s efforts to preserve and manage its biological resources sustainably.
Promote the participation of rural populations in biodiversity preservation.
Encourage wise use of renewable natural resources and promote ecologically viable development in the periphery of protected areas.
